After Johannes Vermeer
Girl with a Pearl Earring
A turning head and one pearl, after Johannes Vermeer.
Vermeer died in 1675. The head in the Mauritshuis is public domain in the United Kingdom. The homage keeps the dark ground, the turn of the head, and a single pearl.
It is not a costume for the photograph. The cloth and the pearl are painted. The face stays the dog’s.
